We invite you to join SASci, a new professional organization. In addition, SASci has registered SAS as an interest group in the American Anthropological Association as a step towards becoming a section in the AAA. The AAA SASci sections will have dues of $10 for students as well due to AAA regulations.

SASci, the independent parent organization, was formed in 2002 as an effort to promote empirical research and social science in anthropology. Its AAA Interest Group, SAS, was organized at the 2003 AAA meetings in Chicago.

SAS recognizes the value of student participation and membership, and offers a variety of benefits to its student members. As a student member you will have access to leaders in the field of anthropological sciences via the online discussion board and list-serv. Student membership in SAS is free, provided you are a member of the AAA. You are welcome to join the SASci list-serv at any time, regardless of member status.
