*Call for Papers* The deadline for paper & symposium submissions is December 15, 2004.

MACT Prize
The on-line journal Mathematical Anthropology and Cultural Theory (MACT) offers one or more prizes for papers on "cultural theory" presented at the SASci meetings in Santa Fe. Any author can offer their paper for the competition, and an organizer (or equivalent) of any session or section can propose any paper(s) in their session for a prize. Prizes offered by MACT are a Culture Theory Prize of $250 and a Reserved Prize of $100 in an open competition for any authors, and a Student Theory Paper Prize of $150. MACT retains the right to give no prize, or multiple prizes of the same rank. Prize papers will be published in MACT, and any other papers submitted might also be invited to publish their paper in MACT at election of the Board of Editors. An author's submission of a paper (or acceptance of a prize when the paper was nominated by someone other than the author) implies agreement to publish the paper in MACT.

Advance registration with reduced rates through January 16, 2005.

On-site registration will be available at the conference.

Registration will include a copy of the preliminary program, the final program and abstracts, a wine & cheese reception, and refreshments between sessions.

There will be no SASci banquet. SASci members who wish to can attend the SCCR banquet by registering and paying for it on the SCCR Website--by filling in that part of the SCCR Registration Form and noting SASci meeting participant. The banquet will be held on Friday evening, February 25, 2005.
