About SASci
The Society for Anthropological Sciences (SASci) was organised to promote empirical research and social science in anthropology. The members of SAS want to further the development of anthropological science as empirical knowledge based on testable theory, sound research design and systematic methods for the collection and analysis of data. We seek to fulfill the historic mission of anthropology to describe and explain the range of variation in human biology, society, and culture across time and space.
In the navigation box to the left there are links to the major sections of the wiki. These include a collaborative site for disseminating information about methods, discussion of issues, and much of the information that is currently on the SASci website (which is drawn from the same source).
Anyone can read most of the site, but to contribute new material and access some member only information you must be a SASci member and -->register here<-- for a user account with the wiki. Only members of SASci can register. When registering you must use the email address that you used when joining SASci. If you have more than one email address, keep trying with alternates. This restriction aims to deter vandalism. I apologise for any frustration that arises from registration.
